Francis Severin Thomas Marsh was the fourth in order as one of 14 children [10 brothers and 4 sisters]. His beloved mother , Helen and respected father, Robert, gave him a faith based fruitful childhood in Great Kills , Staten Island. Family was everything to him and he showed that time and time again throughout the years as his extended family can give testimony to in numerous memories; considerate Neighbor, caring Uncle, supportive Brother and Friend. He adored being with the family at the Farmhouse or golfing with his brothers post retirement. Fran made sure to be at all the various gatherings he eagerly attended to support all the generations through the years.
Francis was a Scout and altar boy in his youth, graduated from St. Peters College with a BA in Math and then served in the Army with honor. As a career, he started in the early stages of the computer age as a Senior Systems Computer Analyst and finally retired from Disney/ABC of New York. Francis was a lifelong animal advocate, loving many pets of his own while supporting homeless ones as well through rescue efforts.
Shared immediate family adventures included Movie Tuesdays, jaunts to the Catskills, tours to Disney World, races at Saratoga and many other journeys through our nation. The times together did not need to be grand, they could be as simple as staying at home watching quality TV together.
His wife of 60 years, Judith and his daughter, Elizabeth/Dee, who were by his side as he took his last breath, will miss him greatly. May those who have gone before welcome him with open arms while guiding him on his way on the path of the Angels. As always, Peace Dad.
