Dale Michael Troxclair (Boo), 68, a native of Norco and longtime resident of Des Allemands, Louisiana, passed away peacefully and began his life in heaven on May 15, 2024, from his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Dale was born on November 4, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Barbara Brignac Troxclair and the late Ernest Sidney Troxclair, Jr. He was a loving father to his only son, Shane Michael Troxclair (Jessica) and his three beautiful grandchildren, Sidney Jo, Elise and Paige.
He was a loving brother to his sisters: Lori T. Oubre, Lisa T. Corso (Rusty) and Lana T. Falgoust (Scott) and a caring Uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Dale was a retired employee of Shell Norco for over 30 years, where he made many lifelong friends. He was an avid sportsman and truly enjoyed everything outdoors. Hunting deer, catching fish, trawling for shrimp, and spending hours on the water or in the woods where he was most happy. He was also an avid dancer; swamp popping on a weekend is where you could find him amongst his beloved friends. He had so many talents; his art, taxidermy, and carpentry will be treasured for years to come, and his delicious Cajun cooking will certainly be missed. He was a skilled and meticulous craftsman who really enjoyed working with his hands whether it was rebuilding boats, sewing trawls, welding, or cooking a sauce piquant.
Visitation, funeral, and burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Visitation begins at 9:30 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Followed by the funeral procession and burial.
