He was born on June 13, 1973 in Chicago, IL to Irma Villarreal Salcedo and Jesus Salcedo Sr. He was a proud resident of Kingsville, TX but lived in Corpus Christi Texas most of his life. As a determined young man, Mr. Salcedo went on to work as a crane operator for many years.
His family and friends will remember him as a dependable, easy going and hardworking man.
He valued his family, his friends and his home. During his free time Marco loved working on projects in his home. He loved going home to his “kids” AKA his dogs (Beans and Stella) and to home cooked meals after a long day of work. Marco was a huge Texas Rangers fan and looked forward to every game day. He adored and loved his family and his girlfriend of 8 years, Mary Macareno whom brought him joy and love and she brought an extended family that he took on as his own. His son will remember him as a knowledgeable, loving, thoughtful, and present father.
He is preceded in death by his father Jesus Salcedo Sr., his grandparents, Jose Guadalupe, Ramona Sanchez Villarreal, Antonio Salcedo Torres, and Petra Salcedo Garcia and his older brother, Jesse Salcedo Jr.
He is survived by his Son, Marco Antonio Salcedo, Jr.; Mother, Irma Villarreal Salcedo; Siblings, Irmalinda Salcedo, Laura Salcedo J.D., Dr. Ramona Salcedo Price (Jamie Lee Price), Alejandro Miguel Salcedo and Nephew, Jaciel Emiil Cruz.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3443 Holly Road Corpus Christi, Texas with visitation to begin on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery to reminisce and honor the life of Marco Antonio Salcedo.
