Born in Ephrata, PA, Madeleine was the first of two children to the late Eugene and Arlene Beck. A child of the Great Depression in rural PA, Madeleine went on to become a schoolteacher and child psychologist, both of which brought her a great sense of pride and accomplishment. Helping children and their families, particularly through difficult times, exemplified what she stood for as a person. Nothing was more important to her, however, than her family and friends. Madeleine was a loving wife, a caring mother and grandmother, an adoring sister, and a loyal friend. She cherished them all with total devotion.
She was predeceased by her husband Rolando. She is survived by a son Scott Miscevich and wife Deborah of Hershey, a daughter Sherry Wise of Cincinnati, and a son Brian Casal and wife Kerri of Gladwyne. Madeleine was Grandmother to six grandchildren Dana, Mark and Shane Miscevich, Carter Wise, and Patrick and Emma Casal, and Great Grandmother to Emery Miller. Also, surviving her are a sister Julia Grove (William), a sister-in-law Cora Casal, and brothers-in-law Edmund (Lumen), Romy (Tessie), Hector (Nellie), and Rigor (Cecile), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut St., Camp Hill from 1:00 – 2:00 with a memorial service to follow immediately thereafter. Following services at the church there will be a celebration of life from 3:00-5:00pm held over at the West Shore County Club; 100 Brentwater Rd, Camp Hill, PA 1701.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pinnacle Health Auxiliary. Madeleine was a tireless supporter of the Auxiliary and its mission. Donations will be used to improve access and quality of medical care in Central PA.
